Dear Hearts,

I've heard from every doctor I know (my son Michael included) that the 

mysterious wonder of the strength of a person's will to live and 

fighting spirit is what can eventually pull them out of the woods (or 

to use Sage's image), "briar patch." This does happen. All 

doctors have borne witness to this, and know that it's the wonder of 

the person's spirit that is far greater than anything medicine can 

offer.

I'm sending prayers for Sage and love to you and your family.

Dear Sophie, We continue to pray for Sage and have recruited many fellow prayer warriors!  Sage is such a beautiful strong young woman. Not only are you blessed with such an awesome kid, but Sage is also truly blessed to have such an amazing family constantly at her side throughout this journey.  Sophie, you are an example of strength, devotion, and love.  Thank you for sharing updates, thoughts, prayers and wisdom in this blog. Miracles do happen,  so we will continue keeping the positive energy, love and prayers to God for Sage's healing!  May God bless you and your family now and always! Dear Sage,

We have met only twice, but I've known your mother forever and absolutely adore her! Her humor, her adventuresome spirit, her steadfastness  and her strength of character -- and so much more. In this time of crises, I know you can count on her to be a pillar of strength in your corner. She and your extended family are so attentive and prayerful and so full of love for you, as are the many friends spread accross the country, including me.

Fight on, dear girl.

to help manifest health for Sage and peace and comfort for everyone.

(Three years ago I was in Oakland Kaiser ICU in critical condition due 

to septic shock. It is a rough, rough road.)
