for the love of the Sage Bug, no. 1: 08/02/10

Hey there all you wonderful people out there!!
~ family so wonderful overflowing with the grace and peace that moves beyond words, from the wellspring of love from mother, father, sister, brother, cousins, grandparent, aunts, uncles:
~ friends so true, old and new, who have shared so many wonders of this world and the delight of details in the every day
~ those whom we have not yet met but are joining us out of sheer generosity of spirit, as you are friends of friends, family of families that care so much for Sage-Nathan-Mark-Sophie:
I thank you for being with me and with us on this journey.
I have been sitting by Sage's bed all afternoon, watching her and feeling the peace that comes from just being still. It is so quiet here and from beyond the windows here on the fourth floor, Room 12 of the  Intensive Care Unit, south wing of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in the wonderfully vibrant green of New Hampshire, it is raining. And that is a wonderful thing indeed to watch, how the cycle of water earth and air reflects the pulsing of the machine inside here, this machine that can breathe renewal and growth into places and spaces that are stressed and shocked.
Please keep breathing deeply and peacefully throughout your day and send that breath Sage's way. Thank you for creating stillness, silence, peace and positivity in yourselves so that Sage can receive it. Thank you for being with me. One thing I do know is that we are all connected in ways we cannot imagine, and we get to choose how we are connected. Thank you for choosing to connect with and to light, love, health and the power of knowing that without the dark, the light would not know how bright it is. peace and blessings, xoxoSophie
